The Victorian Government recently announced $236.8 million to buy land for 14 new schools across Melbourne’s fastest growing areas. This includes the following new school sites to meet future needs in our area:
- Botanic Ridge Proposed P-6
- Casey Fields (Five Ways) Proposed P-6
- Clyde North East Proposed P-6
- Clyde North Primary School
- Clyde North Secondary College
- Cranbourne West Secondary & Special School
- Thoroughbred Primary School
With Victoria’s population growing so rapidly, our schools will have to cater to 90,000 more students over the next five years.
The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) wants to hear what you consider most important to be included in the school designs. New schools offer opportunities to build and enhance their wider communities. The VSBA are working with local educators and councils to match school designs with local needs, but they also want to hear from you. Your input and feedback will help shape the future of education in your area and ensure the new school best caters for local students and their families.
You can contribute thoughts and ideas by completing an online survey or attending a community engagement workshop on Monday 23 April from 6.30 till 8pm at the Balla Balla Community Centre – Large Hall 65 Berwick-Cranbourne Rd Cranbourne East.
